Clayton Park Models are engineered to be exactly that: small homes with big benefits. Shiplap walls and stainless appliances, his and hers built-in closets, 60” fiberglass showers with glass doors—there’s nothing tiny about the amenities, inside and out. Between the wide, welcoming front porches and screened-in back porches, every floor plan offers endless opportunities to get away.
Fun fact: Park model homes are technically RVs. Each one has a certificate of origin as a vehicle (yes, a vehicle), not a home. Park Models and the term PMRV (Park Model Recreational Vehicles), can be used interchangeably. All PMRV floor plans are less than 400 square feet, built on a metal frame with wheels and are therefore movable. Where code and zoning permissions allow (these vary by state), Park Models can be installed as temporary residences.
Since Park Models are temporary residences, they’re perfect vacation getaways for both campgrounds and luxury parks and resort developments. Permission to install Park Models vary since they require to be hooked up to electricity, sewer and water to operate home style fixtures and appliances. They may be a great solution for a small space on personal property or other locations that allow for RVs. Again, state by state and local zoning restrictions apply, especially for placement on personal property.
